The Well Encounters

About Us

The Well was born out of a deep and profound vision inspired by one of the most touching encounters recorded in the Bible – the meeting between Jesus and the woman at the well of Samaria. This powerful story, found in John 4:1-26, speaks of transformation, hope, and the revelation of true purpose.

In this encounter, Jesus offers the woman “living water,” symbolizing spiritual renewal and eternal life. This moment not only changed the woman’s life but also inspired countless others through the ages. It is this transformative power and promise of renewal that forms the foundation of The Well.

Our journey began with a group of passionate individuals who shared a common desire to see lives transformed and destinies fulfilled through the ministry of the Spirit, the Word, and prayer. We envisioned a place where women and youth could gather, much like the woman at the well, to find healing, empowerment, and a deeper connection with God.

As we gathered to pray and seek God’s direction, the vision for The Well became clear. We were called to create a space where people could come together to experience spiritual encounters, renew their minds, and be equipped to make a global impact.

With this mandate, The Well was established as a center of hope, revival, and restoration. From the beginning, our mission has been to empower women and youth to reach their full potential by fostering a deep, intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit.

We believe that through intercession, teaching, and community support, individuals can experience true transformation and be equipped to impact the world around them. Our gatherings are more than just meetings; they are divine appointments where lives are changed, purposes are realized, and hearts are renewed.

At The Well, we are committed to building a community that embodies compassion, integrity, inclusivity, and empowerment. We strive to be a beacon of light and a source of living water for all who seek a deeper connection with God.

At The Well, our mission is to empower women and youth to reach their full potential through the ministry of the Spirit, the Word, prayer, and mind renewal. The Well derives its name and mission from the profound encounter between Jesus and the woman at the well of Samaria, as described in John 4:1-42. This biblical story highlights themes of transformation, redemption, and the breaking of societal barriers. Jesus, by engaging with the Samaritan woman, demonstrated the power of divine love and acceptance, offering her “living water” that would forever quench her spiritual thirst. This encounter symbolizes the essence of The Well’s mission: to provide a place of spiritual nourishment, renewal, and transformation.

Numbers 21:16-18: The Well of Moses
The Well also finds its inspiration in the Old Testament, particularly Numbers 21:16-18, which states:

“From there they went to Beer, which is the well where the Lord said to Moses, ‘Gather the people together and I will give them water.’ Then Israel sang this song: ‘Spring up, O well! Sing about it, about the well that the princes dug, that the nobles of the people sank—the nobles with scepters and staffs.’”

This passage recounts a moment during the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness when God provided water from a well to quench their physical thirst. It is a powerful reminder of God’s provision and care for His people, even in the most challenging times. This well was not just a source of physical sustenance but also a symbol of God’s continuous guidance and support.

At The Well, we see ourselves as a modern-day representation of this biblical well, a place where people can gather to receive not just physical support but also spiritual and emotional nourishment. Just as God instructed Moses to gather the people so He could provide them with water, we gather people together to experience the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.
